Bassist, composer, music educator Fernando Huergo has recorded over 140 albums, including 11 as a leader. Originally from Cordoba, Argentina, and now based in Boston Fernando has toured and taught in North, Central and South America, Europe and Asia.
Huergo has played alongside great musicians such as Tom Harrell, Billy Pierce, Jerry Bergonzi, Dave Kikoski, Joey Calderazzo, Paquito D'Rivera, Randy Brecker, George Garzone, Rick Margitza, Kenny Werner, Luciana Souza, Cesar Camargo Mariano, Danilo Perez, and Marta Gomez, among many others.
Huergo is a professor in the Bass Department at Berklee College of Music, since 1996, and an adjunct faculty at Tufts University since 2001.
